Las Vegas, NM uses one area code which is area code 505. Area code 505 was the original area code assigned to the entire
state of New Mexico, including Las Vegas, NM when it was implemented in 1947. In 2007 area code 505 was split to form area code 575. Las Vegas, New Mexico remained in the 505 area code boundaries.
In
addition to Las Vegas, NM other large communities using area code 505 include Albuquerque, Espanola, Farmington, Gallup, Los Lunas, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and South Valley along with many smaller communities
in northwest New Mexico. Las Vegas, New Mexico does not utilize any area code overlays. |
