Shiprock, NM uses one area code which is area code 505. Area code 505 was the original area code assigned to the entire
state of New Mexico, including Shiprock, NM when it was implemented in 1947. In 2007 area code 505 was split to form area code 575. Shiprock, New Mexico remained in the 505 area code boundaries.
In
addition to Shiprock, NM other large communities using area code 505 include Albuquerque, Espanola, Farmington, Gallup, Los Lunas, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and South Valley along with many smaller communities
in northwest New Mexico. Shiprock, New Mexico does not utilize any area code overlays. |
