state of New Mexico, including Santa Fe, NM when it was implemented in 1947. In 2007 area code 505 was split to form area code 575. Santa Fe, New Mexico remained in the 505 area code boundaries.

addition to Santa Fe, NM other large communities using area code 505 include Albuquerque, Espanola, Farmington, Gallup, Los Lunas, Rio Rancho, and South Valley along with many smaller communities in
