state of Nebraska, including South Sioux City, when it was put into service on January 1, 1947. In addition to South Sioux City, NE area code 402 serves the larger communities of Bellevue, Columbus, Fremont,
Hastings, Lincoln, Norfolk, Omaha and many other smaller communities in eastern Nebraska. South Sioux City, NE does not utilize any area code overlays at this time, however, area code 531 is planned as an
