University City, MO is served by area code 314. Area code 314 is one of two original area codes assigned to Missouri,
including University City, MO and put into service on January 1, 1947. In addition to University City, MO area code 314 serves the larger communities of Affton, Ferguson, Florissant, Hazelwood, Kirkwood,
Maryland Heights, Mehville, Oakville, Overland, Spanish Lake, St. Louis, and Webster Grove, as well as, many suburbs near St. Louis. Although area code 557 has been proposed as an area code overlay of area
code 314 which would include University City, MO, that plan has not been implemented and is considered suspended. At this time University City, MO does not utilize any area code overlays. |
